Kazan festival to screen ‘The Dolls Game’

Iranian short ‘The Dolls Game’ is to be screened at the 17th Kazan Int’l Muslim Film Festival in Russia.

Iranian short flick ‘The Dolls Game’ has made its way to the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival in Russia.

‘The Dolls Game’ by Mehdi Mahaee will be screened at the short films section of the 17th edition of the Russian event.

The short film tells the story of a clown who works in an amusement park. The man is trying to collect his salary from his employer to pay for a lawyer as he wants to get his daughter back.

Earlier reports said Iranian movie ‘Sami’, directed by Habib Bavisajed, will be screened at the full-length feature category of the Russian event along with nine other movies from several countries.

The 17th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival will be held in the Russian town on September 5-10.

The motto of the festival is “To the dialogue of cultures through the culture of dialogue”.

The festival aims to provide a platform for those working in the field of culture and arts in Russia and Muslim countries to exchange their experiences, and to display the creative achievements of the Muslim cinematographers, among others.
